Toronto Disaster Relief Committee New Film Debut

Cathy Crowe's Phoenix group "The Toronto Disaster Releif Committee" has produced a new film which will have its public debut on October 15, 2009 at the Revue Cinema on Roncesvalles Avenue. "Home Safe" provides a window into the world of our homeless community.  

Cathy and her group have a long history of working within the Homeless community in Toronto, and have keen insight into the challenges confronting these members of our community. 

Some information about Social Enterprises

As many of you know, Phoenix has have moved into the Centre for Social Innovation.  This move has been very positive for us--we are able to network with collegues  and we are exposed to many  creative, new ideas every day.  As we have been exposed to social innovation, we have found that it may be a step that many of our groups may be able to utilize to generate funds and meet their social objectives.

Our First Meet and Greet

What a time we had last night at our first Meet and Greet, here at our new offices at the Centre for Social Innovation.  Over 35 people were in attendence. We met each other, discussed our projects and plans to implement our ideas.  Ed O'Sullivan began the gathering with an introduction of me.
