Each year, the bpNichol Chapbook Award honors a Canadian poet with the best chapbook written in English and published in Canada. The prize is $2000 and the award is named after bpNichol who established the award along with Frank Davey for emerging poetss. The purpose of the award was also to promote the small Canadian presses which normally publish such chapbooks
The Judges for 2010 are Bill Kennedy & Maggie Welwig. Thanks to them for their hard work and diligence in selecting both the short-list and this years winner.
